Analysis and design for constant current/constant voltage multi‐coil wireless power transfer system with high EMF reduction

The investigation on the constant current (CC)/constant voltage (CV) charging for electric vehicle wireless power transfer (WPT) system has been widely conducted. However, CC/CV performance under misalignment cases scarcely studied especially multi-coil WPT system. resonant tank compensation methodology exciter-quadrature-repeaters (EQR) transmitter-based is to achieve high factor with low leakage flux over ±150 mm lateral range. EQR transmitter consists of one small exciter coil powered by a single full bridge inverter and two larger decoupled quadrature repeater coils which are magnetically coupled coil. A variable switched capacitor applied side maintain in CV mode. 3-kW experimental setup 200 nominal vertical distance was built three-coil large chosen as comparison. Experimental results show that achieves 92% coil-to-coil efficiency reduces density 70% compared existing mode at 150-mm misalignment.
